Ways to Donate

How US Citizens Can Donate and Decrease Tax Liability

  1. Tax-Deductible Donation. Make your checks out to Lake Havasu Courts, Inc. and mail them to Courts, PO Box 192, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405 or give them to any board member.

  2. Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). Taxpayers over 70.5 years of age are subject to IRA Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs), which are 100% taxable. Instead of receiving the RMD in cash, donors can instruct IRA trustees to send QCDs directly to Lake Havasu Courts, Inc at the above address. This type of donation decreases taxable income dollar for dollar and may place donors in lower tax brackets. Trustees may ask for the Courts employee identification number (EIN): 82-1834669.
  1. Estate Bequest. After providing for your loved ones in your estate planning, consider a bequest to Lake Havasu Courts, Inc. If your estate is subject to federal and/or state estate taxes, a bequest would reduce the tax liability.  Your bequest to ‘Courts’ would help fund the construction and maintenance of pickleball facilities, thus providing a fun, healthful and socially engaging activity for people of all ages for many years to come. What better legacy could there be?

Please Note: All potential donors are advised to check with their accountants or tax-preparers before donating to ensure donations are properly handled and reported to the IRS.
